Illuminated Cave

I did this piece when I was coming out of a depression. I was climbing into and finding the light, but the light actually represents mania. It was a very creative time, and I produced art work in abundance. It was just before I became bipolar, and truly manic. I was under a lot of stress at the time, dealing with being in high school and bullied. First it was great because I wasn’t depressed anymore, but then my mind spun out of control.
